How it works

From booking to proof, in one loop.

Brands book. Screens play. A camera counts. A report comes back.

Behind each play

Three parts, one loop.

The screen and box

A small box on each screen receives the schedule, plays the ad and logs that it played.

The on-device camera

A camera counts people in front of the screen while the ad plays. Processing happens on the device.

The dashboard

Plays and counts roll up into reports per screen and per hour, for the advertiser and the owner.

Proof

Two kinds of evidence for every ad.

Proof of play shows the ad ran on a working screen at a given time. Audience counts show people were in front of it. Together they turn a screen slot into something you can check.

Read how counting works on the measurement page, and how video is kept on the device on the privacy page.

Common questions

Do I need to run anything myself?

No. Advertisers book on Gridcast. Screen owners plug in the box we supply.

Can I change a campaign while it runs?

Yes. Budget and screens can be adjusted from the dashboard.

What if a screen goes offline?

Plays are logged per screen, so reports only show what actually ran.
